Downtown Engagement Session | Downtown Lakeland/Lake Mirror
This session was a little different than planned. Okay, A LOT different than we planned. But looking at these photos, you'd probably never know it! We were so excited when we were asked to do Amber and Austin's photos and began planning right away. We set a date and location and were just waiting for it to arrive. Then, Austin had a serious knee injury at work causing us to postpone initially. After news from his doctor that he would need an operation to repair the damage, they found out he would have a lengthy recovery and would need to find a way to get these photos done before the surgery! Austin was a serious trooper. We all helped him to various locations and he was able to set down his crutches and hold most of his weight on his good leg for short periods of time to get some photos. He also was able to lean on Amber for support in some photos as well, which is a pretty fitting metaphor for their relationship. You can see the love and support they have for each other and even through the pain they both laughed and just enjoyed being with each other for the photos. We were so happy to be able to make this work for them and also happy to report that Austin's surgery went well and he is recovering nicely! This session was the perfect example that not everything will always go to plan, but knowing that you have people to walk through the unexpected chaos with makes it all worth it!
